STEP ONE – Start a keyword project folder to store your results for further analysis.

Congratulations, you have arrived.

This is where every new keyword research project begins.

And to make sure you are successful on each and every keyword research project, especially when it comes to execution, be sure you have initially read through the NicheBOT QuickStart Guide and the 10 Commandments to Successful Keyword Research that is available from the NicheBOT Training Center.  Many have made the mistake of starting without reviewing the essential elements of what needs to be done.

Now that I believe you are ready after having reviewed the foundational materials, let’s get to the heart of the first step.

Step 1 lays the foundation by starting with project management and organization.

To begin, click on the first link underneath labeled My Keyword Basket.

My Keyword Basket in step one of five NicheBOT steps

After the screen loads, you will need to click on the Folder Management link in the middle left area of the screen. This is where you will give a name to the folder that will start your project.

Click on the NicheBOT Folder Management button

In the Add new folder slot, type in the name you wish to give the project that can be easily found and click the Add button.

Make sure not to use any funny characters – just dashes, numbers and letters.

I usually use the date I am creating the folder and the subject name thereafter, like… “2008-02-09-diamonds.”  This makes it easy to spot when the folder was created and how old the keyword research may be.

Then click the “Add” button to add the folder and begin work on your keyword project.

In Step One, you can also change your Account Settings here and even import a keyword list with our All In One Import Tool.

NicheBOT Step One More

If you have finished setting up your project, already set your Accounts Settings and do not wish to import any keywords, please go to Step Two and use the Quick-Digging Keyword tools to identify the core keywords for your keyword research project.

See you at Step Two.

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. Most “men” don’t use directions including myself. I am truly using the knowledge base here and in my private forum memberships for maximum traffic, sales, and conversions to grow my consulting firm exclusively online.

I look forward to raising the bar in my own understanding and performance.

Well here goes… I am not the type of person to read instructions, or put down a new toy until after I read about it. I know you suggest I shouldn’t, but I just can’t.

  10. Greg J says:

Spent 4 hrs yesterday “jumping straight in” to nichebot. I strongly advise new users to not do what I did. This morning I decided to take Jim’s advice and go through the tutorials. So here I am, back at step 1. :P
